Mini Bio
Tangelene Bolton is a Filipino-American composer based in Los Angeles, CA. She got her start working for A-list composers Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Gladiator, The Dark Knight, Interstellar), Henry Jackman (X-Men, Captain America), and Bobby Tahouri (Game of Thrones, Iron Man). Most recently, Tangelene composed the music for Walt Disney Animation Studios, Just a Thought, which premiered at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival. It can now be seen on Disney+ as a part of the "Short Circuit" TV series. She also recently finished working on the new Marvel's Avengers game as Technical Score Engineer/Additional Drum Programmer and past on Rise of the Tomb Raider game (Crystal Dynamics) as Technical Score Engineer.
Aside from her work in film & TV, Tangelene is also active in both the commercial and game world. Recently writing music for #EmbraceAmbition PSA with Mindy Kaling (Tory Burch Foundation & Warner Bros. Animation), the national campaign for Nordstrom’s, The Nordy Club and AirAsia’s, Malaysia Day.
Beyond that, Tangelene has performed and conducted world premieres of her music, most recently at The Wiltern with the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra. She has also recorded her music at the historic Fox Neman Scoring Stage and Capitol Records.
