Michael Abels is best known for his scores to Jordan Peele's GET OUT and US. GET OUT won Peele an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. The score to US won the Jerry Goldsmith Award, the World Soundtrack Awards' "Discovery of the Year," and was chosen "Score of the Decade" by online publication The Wrap. As a concert composer, Abels has been commissioned by artists like the Kronos Quartet and the National Symphony. Abels produced & arranged the 2020 version of Rhiannon Giddens' single, "Cry No More," featuring members of the Metropolitan Opera Chorus. Other projects include the score to HBO's BAD EDUCATION, FAKE FAMOUS, Netflix's SEE YOU YESTERDAY, and others.
